1. Pre-treatment: All processes before plating are called pre-treatment.

According to statistics,60% of defective electroplating products are caused by poor pre-treatment, so pre-treatment plays a very important role in electroplating process.
In the developed countries of electroplating technology, great importance is attached to the pre-treatment process, the pre-treatment process accounts for half or more of the whole electroplating process, so that the coating with good surface condition can be obtained and the defect rate can be greatly reduced.
Sandblasting: to remove corrosion, welding slag, carbon deposits, old paint layer, and other dry oil stains on the surface of parts; .
Remove sand and oxide skin from the surface of castings, forgings or heat-treated parts; Remove burrs and squares from the surface of parts

2. Electroplating

① Main salt system
A variety of main salt systems and corresponding additive systems can be developed for each type of plating.
Such as galvanizing cyanide galvanizing, zincate galvanizing, chloride galvanizing (or called potassium galvanizing). Ammonia salt galvanized, sulfate galvanized and other systems
Each system has its own advantages and disadvantages, such as good dispersion ability and depth ability of cyanidation galvanized solution, fine crystallization of the coating, good adhesion with the substrate, good corrosion resistance, wide process range. The plating solution is stable, easy to operate and less sensitive to impurities. But highly toxic, serious pollution of the environment
Chloride galvanizing solution is a single salt plating solution without complexing agent. The brightness and leveling of the coating is better than other systems: high current efficiency, fast deposition speed: low hydrogen overpotential steel such as high carbon steel, castings, forgings and so on easy plating. However, the weak acidity of chloride ion is corrosive to the equipment. On the other hand, this kind of plating solution is not suitable for the deep hole or tubular parts that need to add auxiliary anode.
Additive additives include gloss agent, stabilizer, softener, wetting agent, low zone location agent, etc.
Gloss agent is divided into main gloss agent, carrier brightener and auxiliary gloss agent. For the same - main salt system, the quality of the coating varies greatly with the additives made by different manufacturers. Overall and blind Europe and the United States and Japan and other developed countries the most additives. ③ Electroplating equipment
